I always wonder why it is so easy to get out of bed at 5 am to go fishing, but it is so difficult to get up at 5 am to go to work. It seems that we are establishing one of these weather patterns where it is crappy on the weekend and hot and sunny during the week. Speaking of sun, I predict that in about 20 years you are going to find out that sun screen causes cancer. You'd think that I would learn, how many times am I going to get a salad at a fast food drive through before I remember to check and make sure that they gave me a fork? Salad is not good finger food. It is within the realm of possibility that Bigfoot exists. Maybe there is only one Bigfoot left in the species, that would make it almost impossible to find, I mean ,damn, we had a whole army looking for Bin Laden, and he seems to be untraceable. I remember a time when you could talk on the phone without asking,"Are you still there"? I guess that is the price you pay for progress. I think that all mid week holidays should be moved to monday or friday. The superbowl should be played on Saturday night! I decided to go ahead with my Jersey trip in a couple weeks, Jaime better buy me some White Castles! The Optimistic Pessimist is coming to North Carolina that same weekend, it's too bad, we could have all gone boating! Why are the roads so busy, all day long, don't people work, or at least stay home sometimes? Neighborhood kids caused about 10,000 dollars in damage this weekend by putting concrete mix into a machines muffler. It is hard enough to keep things running without vandalism.NOTE: I WILL NOT CENSOR ANYONE'S THOUGHTS AS LONG AS THEY PERTAIN TO THE BLOG OR OPINIONS ON A SUBJECT, I DON'T EVEN CARE WHAT IS WRITTEN ABOUT ME, NOTHING OFFENDS ME ANYWAY, BUT I WILL DELETE COMMENTS THAT ARE HURTFUL TOWARD OR DIRECTED AT OTHER BLOGGERS. Regarding the phone comment, I remember when there were no cell phones in the 80's and we didn't have to call from a pay phone and check in. We just had to be home by the curfew.
Crime wasn't a normal paranoia of parents back then! I sure do miss the 80's!
One here for the Super Bowl being played on Saturday night. Who the heck feels like going to work on Monday after partying Sunday afternoon and evening. Power to the Partiers!
Let's organize a search party for Bigfoot. While we'd probably be unsuccessful, our group could have a lot of fun!

I love White Castle burgers. When we were kids and we went from California to Chicago, we always stopped at White Castle's when we got to St. Louis. Hmmm, yummy. Sometimes I can find the frozen ones at some of the grocery stores. I am not sure why they do not always carry them. Oh well.

I'm totally with you on the Super Bowl thing, that would be awesome. I don't have the fork problem, but the Wendy's that I go to (too frequently) has this thing with forgetting to put a straw in the bag. And I always forget to check. Dumbasses.

Sunscreen is already inadvertently causing cancer-- they're finding that those who use it constantly are not getting enough Vitamin D (no sun rays on skin), and it's causing them to get things like liver and pancreatic cancer.

I love the randomness of random tuesdays with you! I'm not a fan of White Castle (actually we had Krystal) unless it's about 4am after a long night of drinking. I think PS is right in that I never used to call home, but if my kids don't answer their cell or text me then I get totally irate!
One comment I feel obligated to make about Green Jello's comment, and this is in no way meant to be a criticism, just a fun pharmacy factoid: I agree that the use of sunscreen could be contributing to the development of cancers mentioned, but people die all the time from skin cancer. However, getting adequate Vitamin D is not difficult. It usually only takes 10-15 minutes of sun on arms or legs a couple days a week to produce the vit D you need. This can be a problem in the winter in colder climates and in the elderly. But in additon to the sun you can also get vitamin D in salmon and tuna (and fortified milk). Of course there are always variables. But it's a good idea if you are unsure to 1. check with your doctor and 2. take a vitamin supplement like D3 (cholecalciferol). D2 Ergosterol is also available but not as effective (except insurance may cover it and not the D3).
I don't think I have ever eaten at White Castle - but I love the movie "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle." My brother looks and acts just like Neil Patrick Harris in that same movie - so that must count for something.
