He eyed the buttons on her tight blouse, buttons that he knew would lead to pure bliss once they were undone. He had always loved her, since she was a child, knowing that one day they would be together, that is until the illness had invaded his body. He had protected her for years, always shunning her advances, acting as if he were not interested, until he could no longer stand the anguish, he had to tell her of his terrible disease. She cried as he told her the story of a one night stand that had happened many years before and of how his world had been turned upside down, never allowing him to experience the pleasure of guiltless passion and love. She kept her distance for quite some time, until the power of love, or at least the magnetism of lust, invaded her heart and soul. She sought him out, not caring about the consequences of her wanting desires. They were both sure that this is what they wanted. He began to kiss her on the cheek at first, tentatively exploring her willingness to proceed. Gradually he worked his way to her pouting lips, as his fingers began to fumble for the buttons on her skin tight blouse. He undid one button and then another, exposing her perfect breasts. She had not worn any bra or undergarments, in anticipation of what was in store for her this night. She began to undress him, pulling him down on top of her, onto the waiting bed. He continued kissing her, making his way from her mouth to her baby smooth neck, down to her perky breasts, and lower, to regions that he had dreamed of exploring. He kissed her forever, it seemed, as he slowly worked his way back to her beautiful face. That is when he began to feel ill, it began to overtake him, a weakness in his body that was worse than ever before. He began to sink into a state of depression, as he told her that he must not continue. She assured him that it was alright, that she was willing to live with the consequences. His desire was there, like a fire burning out of control, maybe it was just her o.k. that he had needed. She laid back on the bed and he gently climbed on top of her. With all of his strength and passion, he plunged his teeth deep into her throat, clamping his jaw upon her neck, tearing the outer layers of flesh, exposing her pulsating artery. She screamed, but it was muffled by the blood that was finding its way into her airway. The blood flowed freely into his mouth, as he drank from her dying body. Her skin began to turn almost white, and her eyes rolled back into her skull. She knew the consequences and the risk involved. If he drank too much, then she would never recover, never be able to spend eternity at his side, she had trusted him and his ability to control his hunger, but that was her mistake. He drank from her body, until her skin had shriveled and pruned around her once sexy frame. She was empty, beyond the point of an unholy resurrection, a lifeless entity with a gaping hole in the side of her throat. He looked upon her, strangely satisfied, yes he had loved her, the same way that one may love a vintage wine, he had waited so long for her to become perfect for his needs. He was satisfied, his thirst had been quenched. There would be more women to love, there always had been since that fateful night, hundreds of years ago, and there would be many more in the eternities to come. He bent over her and put the clothes back upon her body, trying to show her some final respect. He did the last button on her blouse, and disappeared into the night!
No I have not seen twilight or true blood, so if there are any similarities, Sorry!
Thanks to Brian Miller, he makes me think about my words!

HA! let me tell you how glad i am that someone else went the same way i did with this theme. ms salti will definitely approve of the vampire fiction.

Ok... now I need to go read Jaime's salti story too.
I also have not read the vampire books or seen the movies. Good story. I didn't see the vampire twist coming. I'll go watch weeds to chill out before bed now.
Bela Lugosi would love this.
WHAT?! Now I'll never believe what a vampire tells me. NEVER!
Tight blouse and heaving bosom.
Oh my, I feel faint...
See - Bloody men!! You can never trust a word I tell ya, not one bleedin' word.
otin, well done. And "Paradise by the Dashboard light" is playing in the background!HA!
Verrry nice.
Men suck. Yeah yeah..I know..ha ha...pun LMAO
Very good writing! I enjoyed this read :)
hahahahaha!First I was feeling the vibes that some have put around the bloggosphere this morning saying to myself:oh not him as well!LOL,but then, hey you cut it all out!Thank you dear Otin!Vampires are kind of sexy, but no thanks!LOL!Great story! You really know how to put all emotions in what you write!:D
Those pesky buttons work their way into every story! -J
excellent writing! I had believed he was just going to walk away from her.
You COULD be a writer for True Blood.
Or a writer of anything.
You are very talented!
I love reading these theme thursdays! Well done, I read jaime's too and both were fun haha.
Aww he didn't have to kill her! I'm sad now! I haven't finishd the Twilight series yet so I don't know whether Bella succumbs but I'm damn sure Edward won't do her in. Nicely done digger man
This delightful little tale had just so many of the elements I adore! Excellent. See my post, a little more subdued, but certainly along the same...lines.
I'm off to check Jaime's post pronto.
I knew there was going to be a twist..and there it was. Write you a novel Otin, you got the stuff :-)
You are so weird. I don't think you are fit to own cats.
Yeah, gee thanks for making me h...
Happy
Happy at work *cough* lmao
Yes, the vampires are all the rage right now. Consider the alternative for women...the invisible man? Too shallow; you can see right through him...
It was inevitable that buttons would have to be ripped at some point! Well-written piece.
Kat
Lucky for him she wasn't a werewolf.
Dang! Never trust a blood-sucker!
He's a cold hearted snake, he don't play by rules! Oh, oh, girl don't play the fool!
You are an incredible writer, Otin. When are you going to write a book? Seriously!
I was roped in from the first words
What a great piece. I hadn't a clue he was a vampire.
I also loved that you ended it with him being a snake and not a love sick vampire like in Twilight.
With just reading the first line you grabbed my attention right off the bat!
Nicely written Otin.
I was waiting for the twist...but you still got me at the end!
PARAGRAPHS, otin, paragraphs!
i don't know if i can read anymore. I'm not getting any, so I don't want to hear or read about anyone else getting some. Might have to read this is bits and pieces.
Wow! This was a fabulous twist on the theme.
Gives new thought to "Button, button who's go the button?"
Great writing by the way.
Too bad he was so greedy...
Those vampires...they just can't deal with blue balls.
Otin, that was HOT! I haven't read or seen Twilight or True Blood. In fact, until you just mentioned it here, I thought TB was a cop show. I'm always the last one to know.
LMAO at Eternally Distracted's comment.
I need a cold drink. It's gettin hot in here.
Nice post. I loved reading it.
Keep up the good job :-)
WHAT?!!?! She is DEAD??? NO way!
That is phenomenal! Being the morbid person that I am, and one who hates a happy ending, I love that she died!
You outdo yourself every week, Otin!! You totally should write a book. Seriously. Once again I didn't see that twist coming.
Serves me right for being brain dead today and being behind on my blog-hopping - I'm reading this before I shut down and head off to bed...wonder if I'll get any sleep? :)
Well, at least in Twilight or True Blood there's some semblance of Happily Ever After... sheesh! Nicely done!
