Hit 40 has been What The F*cking us for a few weeks so I thought that I would join on in on the fun! WTF!
WTF is with people's timing and scheduling? All deliveries and inspectors seem to show up 5 minutes before lunch time. No matter how hard I try to avoid it, it usually boils down to me having to sacrifice my time!
WTF is the problem with people who won't return phone calls? It seems that about one out of ten messages that I leave are ever returned.
Why do I always put myself in a situation where I make enough money to pay my bills, but have no money left over for anything else? The more I make, the more I spend. Oh well, at least I can pay the bills.
WTF! I think that Murphy's law was written with me in mind, it had to be!
I have a 760 credit score and a 900 dollar mortgage at 6 and 3/4 %. I could cut a couple of hundred off of my payment if I could refinance. I have paid for six years without a late payment and no bank will refinance me because of my credit to debt ratio! WTF????

My sister tried to refinance, too, and she was told that they couldn't help her because she wasn't late on her payments. What? She was telling them that it was difficult to come up with the money, and was there ANYTHING they could do? No, sorry, she wasn't delinquent enough. WTF indeed.

you're not kidding about how stupid the refinancing thing is.
I own a remodeling business, and I deal with shit like that ALL the time. When someone wants to do siding to improve their homes value, the bank will tell them the house needs to be worth more before they can get an equity loan. Then if they finance the siding unsecured, the house is now worth enough, but the friggin Debt ratio is too high because of the extra loan, even when it will REDUCE their debt ratio should they give them the loan.

WTF is with the backwards thinking on refinancing? Seems those of us who actually pay our bills and mortgage on time are the ones that have to 'suffer'. Where's our bailout and hardship money? Seems we're getting penalized for not making stupid choices.

Otin, when the bank says you have "too much credit", it's also talking about all of the credit cards you have. They figure, "If he cashes in on the credit he has on those cards or buys a whole lotta shit at once, he'll owe out the wazoo and not be able to pay us!"
A few years ago, Boyfriend and I cut up all of our cards but about three, and we sent notices to all of the companies (Sears, JC Penney, Belk, etc) to take us permanently out of their systems; that we no longer wanted to have a credit card from them. That gave us a much better credit score, and less "credit", which hurts you from a bank's perspective.
