Happy Hour Friday

In Emails with RxBambi, a great friend of mine, we decided to co host a Friday post called "Happy hour Friday". Actually it started out as Happy Friday, but Hit 40 threw in the Hour part, and made the little picture! Friday is the end of the work week, and a doorway to free time and hopefully fun. Just list some things that make you happy, and Have a fun weekend! BE SURE TO VISIT RX BAMBI and HIT 40! :)

This week I am really happy happy happy!!!!!! I will be on the road to New Jersey, where visiting my Brother, along with some fellow bloggers is in my future plans!

I hope to see

Little Miss Blogger

Jaime
Midtown Girl

Ice Queen
And, if she can be found and is not passed out
The Optimistic Pessimist
Anyone else who wants to show up would be welcome! Just Email me and I will give you details(When I figure them out! LOL)

I will probably not be around that much, but you know me, I will post something.

I am very very happy that something like 50 people took the time to read my very very long Halloween Story!!!

I am happy that my back pain is gone and that I still have a half a bottle of vicodin left!

I am happy that I can access Google mail and browse internet sites on my phone.

I am not sure how happy I am about the Yankees? When this posts, if the series is tied, one game each, then I will be OK. If the Yanks are down, two to nothing, then I will be unhappy:(

Yep, just like last week, I am happy happy happy! I am happier than Monika Lewinsky with a Cigar, happier than Robert DeNiro playing a mobster, happier than Jessica Simpson with a G.E.D., happier than Barry Bonds with steroids, happier than Beyonce's bicycle seat, happier than Sean Hannity with a Ronald Reagan poster, and happier than Hit40 talking about "Supersperm! Now that is happy!!!!

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY???

WTF Wednesday

Hit 40 has been What The F*cking us for a few weeks so I thought that I would join on in on the fun! WTF!
TURN OFF THE MUSIC FIRST!

video

WTF is it with being over 40 that seems to cause one little annoying problem after another? My heart palpitations finally cleared up and went away, just in time for my lower back to give out on me, and now that I am completely over that, I discovered a hole in the side of a back molar.

Why is the weather forecaster always crying about drought conditions? It seems to rain here every day, lately. My yard is like a sponge.

WTF? Why do I feel tired and sleepy all day long, and then about 10 pm I am wide awake?

WTF is it with networks who broadcast NFL games. I realize that the Giants are an out of market team in North Carolina, but I invested my time in watching half of a game the other week, where the Giants were winning by 21 points. After half time, the Network came back with a more competitive game, and took the Giants game off. I realize that most people don't want to see a blowout, but every once in a while it is nice to see your team kick some ass!!! WTF???

I will keep it short because tomorrows post is very long!!!!! WTF???

The Awesomeness of the Optimistic Pessimist

As I mentioned on Friday, The Optimistic Pessimist

is going to run the NY Marathon.

OP is one of those bloggers who I came into blogging with. I'm sure that everyone has a list of blogs that they first started regular back and forth banter with. You know, that time when you both had about 10 followers, and you always knew that you could count on comments from them. She was always there, everyday. She started blogging about her preparation for running this marathon, but somewhere along the way, she decided that she had a lot more to talk about than just running, and her site became a variety of things, including a diary of sorts.

I grew up in NJ and my brother still lives there. Next weekend, I am going to go North and watch OP run in the Marathon. I may not even see her, for all that I know, but I am going to try.

Along the way, I am going to try to meet some other bloggers who I have known for a long time, including possibly Ice Queen, Little Miss Blogger, Midtown Girl, and Jaime.

Nothing is in stone. No real plans have been made, but I am going to be there!

On another note, Two bloggers who are very good friends have been having computer issues and have been offline for a few days.

I hope that they get back soon!

I am happy that I have a cold! Yes, you heard me right! Happy that it is just a simple head cold and not one of those ridiculous flu bugs. A little NyQuil and I will be ready to go!

It is funny how someone that I work with thought that they knew me so well, that they anonymously left a porn film on the seat of my van, thinking that I would take it home and watch it. I am happy to say that I will view it strictly as blog research! :)(This is the actual movie, I had to edit it a little:))

I love the fact that I can instantly communicate with people all over the world. As a matter of fact, a fellow blogger who I have always held in high regard, called me Thursday, and I missed the call. I hope, very much, that she tries again!

I am so looking forward to this weekend being warm. It is supposed to be around 80. Sounds like boat weather!

I made 300 extra dollars picking up scrap metal around the job site. It really pays well to be a scavenger.

I am Happy that The Optimistic Pessimist is going to run the NY Marathon! There was a period of time when she was unsure. She is such a good girl, I wish her well! If I thought that I could find her in all of that crowd, I might actually go watch. Although, I could go have lunch with Midtown Girl and the Ice Queen, in the process. Plus, Jaime still owes me some White Castles!GO YANKEES!!!Bamboo got Married! Congrats to her!!!!!!!!!

That's it people! I am just Happy!! Happy as a Lark! Happy as a clam! Happy as a pig in shit!! Happy as OJ with a Ginsu! Happy as Tommy Lee with a video camera! Happy as George Bush with a government to destroy and rebuild! Happy as Joan Rivers at a plastic surgeon! Happy as Willie Nelson with a Bong! Happy as a dollar bill in a strip club! Happy as Brian Miller with a Thesaurus!! LMAO!!!!!!

What makes you Happy!!!!??!

WTF Wednesday

Hit 40 has been What The F*cking us for a few weeks so I thought that I would join on in on the fun! WTF!
TURN OFF THE MUSIC FIRST!

video

WTF is it with people paying too much attention to what I am doing? The other day I was on the phone at work, waiting on a dump truck to get back, so that I could load it with broken concrete.

The truck showed up and before I could hang up the phone, the truck driver gets out and says,"You on the phone a lot today, ain't ya?"

Now, I could have smiled and said, "Yep", but that is not my style. Instead,I said,"Shh, my Grandmother just died!"

He was so shocked! It was funny to me, to see someone backpedal so fast. Maybe I am warped! My Grandmother's both died in 1967, so I don't feel too guilty.

WTF is it with having frost on my windshield this morning? I left the house later than normal and when I got to the van, I found a rather thick frost layer. Of course, being lazy, I only scrape a tiny little spot, turning the first two miles of my commute into a suicide jaunt! Frost in NC in October??

WTF is it that makes me so obsessed with spicy, hot foods? Half the shit that I eat, has heat warning labels. You can get arrested for growing pot, but you can grow a habanero that will kill someone! LOL!

WTF is it that makes a work day go so slow, but 4 hours playing on line seem like nothing?

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUESTIONS???

I have done this before and it was kind of fun. I did not get a lot of serious questions, mostly joking stuff. Last time I gave my answers in the comment section because I was lazy. This time I will update the post as we go.

Ask me anything that you want, personal questions, political views, religious views, it does not matter to me. I will do my best to answer all questions as honest as possible. If you ask me for my social security number, I will probably lie! LOL!

Only ask me one question please, It takes too long to answer 17 subparts.

If I don't know an answer, I will admit it!!!!

Can you tell that I am bored today??? LMAO!!!

UPDATE:

Stacey asked: Okay, Otin. As a Canadian, I'm not so arrogant to think all Americans would want what we have. But I do admit that I'm confused about why so many aren't keen on having universal health care. What's your opinion?

My Answer: The people who are so against universal health care are mostly people who have healthcare through their own jobs or personal plans. I have not met anyone who does not have health insurance that is against it. I think that It is a shame that we can spend 600 million dollars to fix the Hubble Telescope and balk at helping a Mother get her child a throat culture. People spout all this bullshit about how our health care would become sub par. I would rather have a sub par check up than none at all! I have Blue Cross, so I cannot be lumped in with those people who are ranting because they do not have insurance. I am not a democrat or Republican, just interested in keeping people from going bankrupt because they get sick!

Mighty M asked: Who are your favorite authors?

My answer: I don't read very much, but I like Dean Koontz and Stephen King.

KJ asked: Let's just get to the good stuff...you talk all about your women friends..so are you dating anyone? Married? Divorced? Recently had a bad break up? (Oh..that's more than 1 question I guess)
I have a friend from the Y who is a huge TWINS fan (and recently lost about 80 pounds)and is looking to date...

My answer: I have had the same girlfriend for 12 years, we are basically married without being married.

Maggie asked: Okay the real question is: When did you decide there was no god or stopped believing in it, at what age?

Answer: I never decided to stop believing, I just could never imagine that the possibility existed. I don't recall ever really believing.

Beth asked: I married a Yankee and he loves to say he is "never ever moving back up north." Do you feel the same way? I think it would be cool to live in a large city and rely on public transportation. At least for a little while.

Answer: I would love to be up there again!!!

Tom asked: you have some neato keen posts....ever thought of writing a screenplay?

Answer: I have never thought about it, really. LMAO at neato keen!!

Harley(One of my first 5 followers) asked: Ok, here it is: Am I the coolest Catholic you've ever met? (Clearly we haven't met, but you get what I mean).

Answer: You are just cool, I don't care what religion that you are!

Alix asked: Will you marry me?

Answer: Are you worth millions? LMAO!

Brian Miller asked : if you had one day to live, what would you do?

Answer: Marry Alix! LMAO!!! No, I would try to be with my family and probably cry a lot! I don't think that there is a specific thing that I would do.

Green Eyed Momster asked: What's the first thing you'd do if you won millions of dollars or suddenly became very wealthy?

Answer: The first thing that I would do would be to take care of all the debts of my family members and my bills, and then I would go from there. I would definitely give money away to charities and people who need things. I am definitely not greedy! I usually give more than I get.

Tori asked: what is the scariest thing you've ever seen (real life or movie or something you've read)?

Answer: I watched my Grandfather and my Mother's best friend both die of lung cancer. The last days of both of them stick in my head in a vivid image that no fictional thing could match.

Gladys asked: Otin if you could have any job what would you do?

Answer: I would love to be a guitarist in a band, who was also the groups main songwriter. I just cannot grasp music, so it never really was a possibility, but I wrote some killer song lyrics, years ago!

blueviolet asked: You said you were barely keeping up with your followers before. Now that you have a zillion more, how are you doing with it?

Answer: How do you keep up with 800?? I am not really keeping up as much as I wish I could. Sometimes I skip over a blog that I just left a comment on or go to another site that I have not commented on in a couple of days. There are a core group of people who I am really close with that I always try to be there for. The problem is that the core group is getting bigger!

Smart Mouth Broad asked: Does your girlfriend know that you blog? If so, does she read it? Yeah, yeah, I know that was two questions...so sue me.

Answer: How could she not know!? It is all that I obviously do. LOL! She knows how to get to the blog, but is not really interested. As long as Law and Order is on the air, I am ok! haha!

Leah asked: Okay, you do like to give, but still, presents are nice--so, what is the best present you ever received?

Answer: It is not a material thing. When I caused an accident and almost killed a guy when I was 18, I ended up having to go to court for something to do with the insurance. He had a permanent limp and a bad scar on his forehead. He walked up to me and I was almost crying, standing there with my mother and he said something like,"Accidents happen, don't beat yourself up over it." I think that was my gift. I would have never gotten over the guilt, otherwise. Material gifts was probably My Mother paying off a credit card that I owed too much on.

RxBambi asked: What does your RL girlfriend think about all your bloggy wives?

Answer: I just asked her and she said, have at it! LOL! Seriously!

Pseudonymous High School Teacher asked: Hi Otin ; -) Happy Sunday. Hmmm. OK. I've got one. If you won a trip for anywhere in the world for two weeks, where would you go?

Answer: I would love to go so many places, but being that I have a sister in Seattle that I have not seen in over a decade, I would probably choose there.

Cat Lady Larew asked: How many of your stalkers/followers have you actually met?

Answer: I have met Hit 40 and Michel in person, and I have talked to about 7 others on the phone.

Tammy Howard asked: Do you have any plans to publish any of your stories?

Answer: I would love to, but would not know where to start.

Michele had no question, just a hell of a nice comment!
Thank you, the feeling is mutual!

Surge asked: Have you ever written anything longer than a 'short story' ? Ever thought about writing a novel?

Answer: I just started writing. All the stories that I have written since high school were written within the last few months. I started writing them for Theme Thursday posts. I don't know that I have the patience to write a novel. All the stories that I have, I have collected HERE

Chief asked: I am intrigued by the answer to one of your questions above and would like you to elaborate.

If there is no God...do you then believe in evolution? Don't you question that as well? (I know it's two...I ride the short bus. Humor me)

Answer: In my mind, there is no God, that does not mean that I am right. I question everything to some extent. I would love to think that there was a God, it would be very comforting to me.
What I believe, is that conditions were just right on this particular planet for life to form. I think that there is probably life elsewhere in the universe, also. I think that we are mammals, and have the same characteristics as most mammals. We have curbed some of our natural instincts. I think that man has evolved in the last 100 years. We have become bigger and stronger. I do not push my views, because I respect other people's views, but you asked.

Little Ms Blogger asked: If you could be invisible for a day and follow someone, who and why? (I hope you don't have the same answer has - Charles Manson)

Answer: Would I be shallow if I said Kate Beckinsale? She has to shower sometime!!!!! Also, I blog about 4 hours a day, but the last couple of weekends, I have been on line a lot! I need to get a life, really!

Braja did not have a question because she would never admit that I know anything! HAHAHAHA!!! So I will ask her a question.
Question: Is that you in your profile picture?

Jaime asked: who are you going to spoof next?

Answer: I have not really thought about it! Hmmm!

Surge (Rule breaker!) asked: Okay.. more questions for you haha. Would you ever go skydiving? Because I'm thinking about it.. and I'm already half in love with it. Also: I was thinking about doing this on my blog, if I gave you credit would you mind?

Answer: I would not skydive. I do not even do airplanes! I don't care if anyone does this because It was not my idea, I have seen it done a few different times on other peoples blogs. I think that The first time that I saw it was about 5 months ago on "Because I could never keep up with a diary" She did it as her 100th post. Also, the Optimistic pessimist did it after that. She is on my link poem.
Willow asked: Besides your loved ones, what is your most prized tangiable possession and why?

Answer: I made a cedar chest in 6th grade wood shop, and I keep all my pictures and stuff like that in it. I have had it for about 35 years and it is still in good shape. That is probably the one thing that I always try to protect when I move.

Mr Condescending asked: What's the biggest fish you've caught!

Answer: About a 5 ft hammerhead shark.

An Open Heart asked: KJ asked about your marital status and you said you've had the same girlfriend for 12 years.....
Who is the hold out? You or Her? Why haven't you made it legal?

Answer: I would not want a wedding, I do not see it as a religious thing, and My parents did a lot of divorcing and I saw a lot of ugliness. I don't see the need. I have the Gene Simmons Philosophy.

Christina asked: I often find myself lingering around just because I enjoy the music here. If you had to pick, What would be your favorite artist and song?

Answer: Although I lean toward the heavy music, which I have a lot of on my other blog, my favorite song is "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", by Gordon Lightfoot. My favorite band would probably be Black Sabbath.

Hit 40 asked: Is your boat put away for the season? Or can you take your boat out year round in NC?

Answer: It is still ready to put in the water. Maybe once more! (I did post a story on Friday Night)

Candie Bracci asked: How do you do that color in the background??OH!

Answer: In the blog background? Just find a site that has blog backgrounds and they will usually give you directions!

Stacy(The Random Cool Chick) asked: KJ asked about your marital status, then An Open Heart asked what your 'hold out' is... You mentioned why you prefer not to walk down the aisle, which is a reasonable mindset, but what about your long-time girlfriend? How does she feel about the 'no wedding/marriage' policy? :)

Answer: She had a previous bad marriage and does not really care if she is not married.

Gaston Studio asked: What, exactly, brought you to eastern NC?

Answer: A lot of things! I needed some separation from my Mother. I loved the weather. I had some of my Dad's family living here. If you read my Story, "The power of a Rose", there is a hint of truth in that also.

buffalodick asked: Interesting stuff! How did you end up in construction?

Answer: I was young and I had great high school grades but decided that I knew everything and went into the restaurant business, where I spent 7 years, then I moved into construction when my Mother and 3rd stepfather started a construction business.

Captain Dumbass asked: How close could I actually get to the sun before bursting into flame?

Answer: I think that Yoda would be the best one to ask on that one!

Slacker Chick asked: You have another blog?!? Do you ever sleep?

Answer: I actually have 4 blogs and I am a participant on one more. You will find three in my profile, another one is just a compilation of the stories that I wrote here and the final one is just a place for potty humor!
Alicia @ boylerpf asked:

I'm a day late...always!
If you could pick five people throughout the centuries to have over for dinner, who would they be?

Answer: John Lennon, Leonardo Da Vinci, Babe Ruth, and my two Grandmothers who both died before I was 2.

Grand Pooba asked: ...Do you have a secret crush on Hit 40?

Answer: I didn't know it was a secret? LMAO!

The Constant Complainer said...

What movie scene you think is the stupidest of all time?

My vote - Rocky and Apollo jumping in the ocean and hugging during the training scene in "Rocky III." LOL.

Answer: That one is pretty dumb!!! There are so many! There are about 10 of them in Die Hard 2 alone!!!

I know that this is pretty insignificant in the scheme of things, but the warm tortilla chips and salsa that you get at a Mexican Restaurant make me very happy!

The Frozen Margarita that I get with the chips and salsa may add to the over all importance of the happy experience.

The fact that the Yankees are four wins away from being in the world series makes me happy! Maybe we will face Matty's Phillies!

I love demolition work. What better way is there to take out your frustrations, than to tear a building down! It is great therapy.

Selling scrap metal from the demolition also is an added bonus. I made like 1,500 dollars for really doing nothing more than separating materials before I loaded them.

Punctual people make me happy. I hate it when people are late for anything

Knowing that there are people who enjoy my stories makes me very happy!

The fact that I have had some great phone calls from bloggers makes me glad that I put my number up!

That's it for now!

What makes you happy???

WTF is it with me and anything that is drive through? It just never works out right for me.

It rained Monday, so on the way home, I decided that I would stop and get a coffee at Dunkin Donuts. The place recently changed owners, and one of the changes that the new owners made was to put a speaker at the drive thru. It used to be that you would just pull up to the window and give your order. I have not been there since they changed over, so I just drove up to the window. Here is what ensued:

ME: I'd like a large coffee, cream and sugar.

Guy: You did not order at the speaker.

ME: There is no one behind me, is it really a big deal?

Guy: You will need to drive around, it is company policy.

ME: Are you Fucking Kidding ME!?

Guy: Sorry, I am supposed to tell people to drive back around.

There was still no one behind me, so I got out of my van and walked 15 feet to the front door and went in. I asked the girl at the counter for my coffee. While she is ringing me up, the guy has some more witty thoughts.

Guy: You can't park in the drive through lane.

ME: I would not be parked there if you took the 15 seconds to get my coffee.

As I leave, the girl tells me to have a nice day. I went back to my van, where a car had just now pulled up behind me. I get in and tap on the pick up window.

Guy: YES?

ME: You know, this was really stupid, have a nice night!

True story, no bullshit! I have the worst time at these places. I never get what I order. Salad without a fork, Mustard when I want ketchup, mayo when I want mustard!

Can you repeat your order please? ARGGGGHHH!

WTF! Maybe next time I should not be so lazy and just go inside to begin with!!!!!

It's Miller's Time

For those of you who do not read Waystation One, which I am sure is not that many of you, Brian Miller is a wonderful writer. He has a very deep and descriptive style, often pointing out little things in life that we may sometimes take for granted. He is a loving family man, who never complains about much and always has a wise word. He has like 176 followers and does not post a lot of pictures, and does not have a bunch of gadgets or frill, he just relies on his writing.

A few weeks ago, I did a post imitating his style, kind of as a joke, and he said that he would do a post in my style. I can't picture Brian lopping some poor guys head off, but we will see! hahaha!

So hop on over and see what Brian has cooked up! If you have never been there, read some of his other stuff also!

Let me tell you about a few people......

As you all know, a group of fellow bloggers got together and honored my birthday with a giant linked shared post! I just wanted to let you know a little about them.

Mango Girl was the organizer.
I think that I was the second or third follower to her site. Sometimes you run across a blog where you can see that there is a wealth of creativity just waiting to burst through. Luckily for us, it did not take long for that to happen! She is a shooting star in the blog world!

Hit40 linked everyone!
We really came into this thing together. We both started blogging at about the same time. Think back to when you were in school and you used to hang around with a bunch of kids, but at the end of the day, when everyone else went home, there was always the one person that would stick with you! That is Eileen!!! I probably would have quit long ago, if not for her!

Who would have ever thought that Stacy(The random cool chick) would ever be interested in my site?
What most people don't know about Stacy is that she is very funny! People are surprised that someone who leaves potty humor comments, like I do sometimes, is embraced by her. I don't know how she does everything that she does, to be honest with you! I just know that she is a good friend of mine!

RxBambi joined in on the fun

Bambi is my buddy! The one that I can banter perverse comments back and forth without ever offending! Her blog was another one that I followed very early. She left me a comment, vehemently disagreeing with a position that I had taken, and I have loved her ever since! (I can't remember what it was about, but I was right! That is just how it is!) LMAO!!! Even though we are not Bloggally married like Eileen and myself, Bambi and I share a meme together! LMAO!!

Blue Violet also participated

She really blew me away by being involved! I leave the silliest comments on her site. She has like 800 followers and takes the time to visit me regularly! Like someone said, "What did I do to warrant a post all to my own?" The same thing that goes for Stacy, also applies to Blue violet, she has a really funny side!!!!

What can I say about Dizzblnd!
A while back, she did a post, saying goodbye to everyone, like she was going to stop blogging. I was crushed! A few days later, she was back posting, and I was relieved! I could go on all day about her. She is one of the reasons that I continue to write stories. I would do just about anything to keep her blogging!

Drahdrah is wonderful
I came upon her blog when she was in the middle of some really difficult times. It warms my heart everyday to see her comments and posts! She started a Sunday meme called the "Things I love". If you ever need an idea for a Sunday post, look her up! I guess this post here could be called "People I love" :)

Then there is Pastor Sharon
Who would have ever thought that an Atheist and a Pastor could be the best of friends? A caring heart knows no religious affiliation as far as I am concerned. I think that she just has a heart of gold, period! If you ever need a shoulder to lean on, she will be there.

Goose is awesome!
I found her through RxBambi. I think that she will end up with a big following. I can't help but think about aflac, every time I see the Goose picture! haha. She is another one who is fun to joke around with. Although she is relatively new, I see her being a long time friend!

Amy is another one!
People would think that we would never be compatible in any way, judging by our blogs. She is just a good person and that shines through! Look at her list of followers! Amy has like 33 followers, and most of them are people like Stacy, and Braja, and Vodka mom, and Blue Violet and Hit40. Bloggers with hundreds of followers. I think that says a lot about how respected that she is!

Ahhh, The Blonde Goddess
Irreverent and honest! Two of my favorite qualities. As Dizzblnd once said about me, "You never know what you will get when you go to her blog. You don't know if you are going to laugh or cry". I have been lax on visiting her site lately. I apologize!

Maggie Maggie Maggie!
I wonder if Stacy minds the fact that the blog world has another Random Cool chick!? Maybe Maggie could be the Cool, chick in Mexico! I can always count on her. I wish that she was closer so that we could have that beer!

I hope that I did not miss anyone! These are the people who linked over at Hit40's!

THEY ARE ALL GREAT PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

Thanks again!!

Today there will be no list of happy things because there is one that overshadows all.

The kindness and warmth that everyone showed on Thursday, in my giant Birthday link was overwhelming. It further proved to me that the divide between the blog world and the real world is not as wide as we think.
We make relationships and we gravitate to people. We listen to their hurt and their happy times, and we try to help each other when it is needed. There is no class system. Some of us live pretty good, while others struggle to get by. We don't care what we look like in another person's eyes. We get closer with time, and develop new relationships along the way. We get depressed when someone goes away and we welcome someone new. We don't care who is what faith and accept everyone for who they are.

Maybe the real world should be more like the blog world!

I try to learn something personally about everyone. I can look at the little pictures in the follower boxes and 90% of the time, I can tell who it is and I usually know something about them.

Like in life, the longer that you maintain relationships, the more precious that they become! I have a long history with some of you!

I wish that I had time to link everyone who went out of their way for me, but I would be up to 2 am, so I will just say that most, if not all of them are on the link poem on my sidebar. The poem needs to be updated, because there are many more names to add to it.

I thank the new people who followed and will be by your sites, if I have not already, by the time you read this!

I hope that you all still think that I am OK after my upcoming Saturday Halloween story! LOL!

Oh Yea, The Yankees won game 1 and that makes me Happy!!

A special shout to Mango Girl, Thank you!!!

WOOOHOOOO! TGIF!

What makes you happy?

WTF Wednesday!

Hit 40 has been What The F*cking us for a few weeks so I thought that I would join on in on the fun! WTF!
TURN OFF THE MUSIC FIRST!

video
WTF is it with people treating Halloween like it is a real holiday?? I have heard it mentioned in the same breath as Thanksgiving, not to mention the fact that we teach children not to take candy from strangers and then we have them knock on doors, and well, take candy from strangers!
At the same time, the people who feel sorry for me because of my lack of religious belief, dress their kids up like demons! haha!

WTF is it with growing an entire crop merely for the purpose of carving a face in it and sitting it on your steps so that some dumb ass teenager can come by and smash it on your driveway. It seems like a waste of farm land.

WTF is it with Thanksgiving being on a Thursday. I know it is tradition, but some of us have to work on Friday! It feels like having two Monday mornings in one week!

WTF Why do we have to see the Detroit lions every Thanksgiving day? No wonder we all fall asleep on the couch! Can't they switch it up a bit?

WTF Today I am 44! That sounds so harsh to my ears. I remember when people would always say to me, "Oh, you are still young yet!" Don't hear that too much anymore! I can think back to a time when I thought that a Cougar was 44! Now for me to be Cougar bait, the woman needs to be 60! LMAO!

A call for you, a call for me!

A CALL FOR YOU:

My sister, Vicki
is trying to raise some money for a good cause. Below, I will let her tell you in her own words.
(That is us when we were kids, from left to right: My stepmother, Vicki, my Brother and Me.)

"I am training to participate in the Lavaman Triathlon. It is an olympic distance triathlon which means I will have to swim 1.5K, then ride my bike for 40K, then go for a 10K run, but this is nothing compared to what those with Leukemia & Lymphoma have to go through.

I do this for my Mom, who is the best and one of the lucky ones. She is currently in remission from mantle cell lymphoma and doing great! However, there are many people that are not doing as well and the money that the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raises enables research for a cure - research that was the reason my Mom is doing so well today.

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.

I hope you will visit my web site often and check out my blog( Life and Stuff) where I will be blogging about my training and the whole experience."

Go to her Fund Raising page

Please do not feel obligated, I know that times are tough. I am just trying to help her out a little bit.

A CALL FOR ME:

Because I like to be different and try different things, I am going to do something that some people will find silly! I have a phone line that I have a contract on for another 3 months before I can drop the line. The phone sits, turned off most of the time. I charged it up this morning after being off for a month, and I had no messages! LOL! I am going to post the number and you can call and say hello if you want! Chances are, that you will get a recording, but you never know. Don't call me if you don't want a return call! What is the worst that could happen? I am going to delete the number anyway! So here it is dum da dum da dum!!!!

Here are some things that make me happy.....

Holiday cookies and candy make me VERY happy! VERY Fat, also! LOL

It makes me happy when something like a movie or a book ends up being much better than you thought that it would be.

Being on the road at Christmas time makes me happy. I love the way that everything is shut down, it is a very peaceful feeling. I don't always do road trips during the holidays, but this year I might!

Music makes me happy! I almost had a heart attack the other day when the playlist site looked like it had shut down for good!

Helping other bloggers get people to their sites is something that I get satisfaction from. Here are a couple that you should visit:
Randomization
Barb at Sassy and Ginger chronicles!Antoinetteof course there are many more, but these are just a few off of the top of my head!

I love a comfortable bed. I think that a good mattress is a wise investment.

HERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT USED TO MAKE ME HAPPY:

Riding my motorcycle used to make me happy. I was crazy at one time!
(not my bike, just similar)

Racquetball was a sport that I loved. I have not played in 20 years.

Going out to bars to watch live bands was a great time. I need to do that again!(These guys were great! We used to go see them when I was in my 20's!)

It was a crappy work week! Thank God it is Friday!!!!!!

What makes you happy!!??
