Inspiring? Me?? lol

Lisa Regan, a soon to be published novelist,(Check out her book!) gave me an award on her blog. Now, I have pretty much sworn off doing these, but I liked the premise of this one. I have to give you seven interlinking facts about myself.  I was supposed to tag seven people, but I'm not sure that seven people even read my blog anymore. lol.  So if anyone wants to do it, feel free to call yourself tagged.

  Seven interlinking facts about me:

1). I've had three stepmothers and two stepfathers.
2). I have a half sister by my first stepmother.
3). Although I used to babysit my sister when she was a toddler, I haven't seen her since 1995 or so.

4). Over the years I've had 6 stepbrothers and three stepsisters.
5). My father and stepmother number three considered stetting me up with her youngest daughter at one point.
6). My oldest stepbrother has done work on major motion pictures, including a Steven Spielberg film.
7). Even though I'm glad I met all of these people in my life, and that there were plenty of good times had by all, I still would have enjoyed a more stable childhood.

Why did I totally follow that, no problem? Cause I have had the same type of convoluted divorce/marriage/divorce/marriage/divorce/divorce/marriage/divorce type of life!

BTW you are totally inspiring. You kept me going the last year (has it been a year?) and in fact, you're in my acknowledgments!

My goodness! What a clan!

Goodnight JohnBoy. Goodnight MaryEllen. No, wait. That was last week.

I'm glad you survived all that craziness.

Congrats on the award.

Yeah O there are still 7 people following you when you post probably more like 700.

All I can say about your life is that sounds rather interesting, and I for one am glad you survived with your own brand of sanity intact.

Thanks for the share :-).

Your family is BIG.

I have trouble just keeping up with the members in my smaller family, can't imagine how it's like for you.

And congrats to your award, you deserved it.

Boy, do I understand your situation. I have had three stepmothers, two stepfathers, one half sister, one half brother, three stepbrothers.

Interesting that you chose to list things about your family and not about you personally. How are you doing?

You know something Mr. O? Nobody is "normal" unless you've come from an extremely dysfunctional family.

Yep, count me in the crowd.

Dysfunctional is the new normal.

Anyway, wow and I had a little bit of an eww factor when I read about the potential "set-up" between you and your step sister, but then I realized you're not related by blood!

Sorry.

I'm in a rambling mood.

And I do feel badly for all of us who have had more than their fair share of sucky in their lives.

Congrats on your award!

I like the interconnectedness (if that is a word) I would think that you probably should take the first 7 people who commented and give them the award for being kind enough to still read.

Holy crap! I don't think I could have kept it all straight growing up like that!

Otin, Happy Fourth of July, buddy. This was an interesting post. And you know what it proves...that you're human! We all have drama of some kind and wish that certain events in our lives may have gone differently. It happens.

C'mon - stability can be boring. And painful if you're stuck w/an awful set of family members ;0)

Wow...I had to read that twice to get unlost from that fa,ily tree. Congrats on the award

Childhood really does shape who you become as an adult. I would imagine as a result you are much more stable than how you grew up.

I like the whole interlinking aspect.

Holy cow, how do you keep them all straight?!

(And by straight I'm not talking about sexual orientation....lol)
